BRS will not compromise with BJP: Minister KTR

The BRS party working president and Minister KT Rama Rao has ruled out any compromise between his party and the BJP at the Centre. In an interview with the PTI news agency, he said he had been meeting the Union ministers for a long time. The meetings were focused only on securing Centre’s cooperation on development projects pertaining to Telangana state.

Ruling out any collusion or understanding with the BJP, Mr Rama Rao said both Congress and BJP who ruled the country failed to live up to the expectations of the people. Both parties undermined the core values of democracy and the federal spirit of the Constitution. The BRS party would go with like-minded parties or go on its own accord. The BRS has already gained public patronage in various states such as Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and elsewhere in the country. It would slowly expand into other states as well, he said.

It was not proper to say that BRS is in collusion with either Congress or BJP as the leaders of respective parties are attributing. It was false propaganda to malign the BRS party and malign the BRS party. People are witnessing the antics of Congress and BJP in Telangana state and they would teach a fitting lesson at an appropriate time, Mr Rama Rao summed up.
