BJP leader Vijaya Shanthi is agitated as the party ignores her

BJP senior leader Vijaya Shanthi feels ignored by her party and reportedly contemplating quitting the party, according to her followers. She has been away from the official programmes of the party including the protests on Monday. On the day Kishan Reddy assumed the president post of the state unit, she left the meeting hurriedly. Later, she justified her action as she resented sharing the event with the former Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy who was opposed to Telangana statehood in the past.

Ms Vijaya Shanthi pledged to the cause of separate Telangana and floated her own party. Later, she worked with the BRS and then joined the BJP. Now, she feels that she is ignored by the leadership. Some leaders were given assurance of tickets in ensuing elections while others were given important party positions. She was left behind uncared for. Though she has been active on social media none of the BJP leaders are close to her. The former MP reportedly remains agitated over the attitude of party leadership and is thinking to leave the party sooner or later.
