TSBPASS in villages. sdr

The state government had introduced Telangana Building Approval and Self Certification System on November 16, 2020. It was aimed at obtaining hassle free permission for building constructions. It aims at bringing in more transparency and accountability. It will also eliminate red tapism and corruption.

Having seen its success, the state government plans to launch the service in villages as well. For plots of 75 square yards to 600 square yards instant approvals will be given. Some changes in software were made and tested in rural mandal already. Little more exercise is underway such as the fee structure to be fixed.

With the villages and mandals acquiring new shape due various programmes as Palle Pragathi, green cover, sanitation among others, many from town and cities are preferring to construct a house in their villages.  The land rates are increasing everyday and people dream of owning one house in their village which will remain as an asset for them.

The proposed TSBPASS envisages ensuring an orderly construction of houses in villages giving an aesthetic look unlike in the past where disorder ruled the roost. It may be noted that the chief minister Mr KCR during his visits asked the villagers to demolish all the abandoned houses and clear bushes to make the village look good. The TSBPASS will usher in era for villages in Telangana once launched.
