TRS Mumbai’s Grand Salute to Prof. Jayashankar

On 6th August, 2011 TRS Mumbai Region had organized meeting in Samaj Mandir Hall, Sector 3, Nerul to pay tributes to the Mahatma (Saint) Professor Jayashankar Sir as in 1934 on this day (6th August) Sir was born in Akkampet Village in Warangal District of Telangana Region in India.

Chief Editor of GoudaSankaraavam (Telugu Monthly Newspaper) and Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Ch. Vajram Goud was the Chief Guest of the function and had come all the way from Hyderabad.

The Meeting started at 7.30 PM with tearful mourning on hearing of the suicide of MTech Student R. Srikant in Hyderabad and ended at 10 PM.

Vajram Goud stated in the meeting that “Title of Mahatma to Prof Jayashankar Sir was unanimously conferred by common people of Telangana as Sir had remained unmarried all his life for Telangana cause”.

TRS Mumbai President and Editor of Telangana Today Newspaper Stated that “Prof. Jayashankar’s Dream, aim and ideology was to get Separate State of Telangana and Sir had fought for more than 55 years from Nizam rule to uptill-date for Telangana even TRS was formed by K. Chandrashekar Rao on the idealogy of Prof. Jayashankar Sir. Now it is the duty of all Telanganites to achieve Telangana on the path shown by Prof. Jayashankar Sir”.

TRS Mumbai Region Vice President Siripuram Rajesham Stated that “Union Government is not coming out with any clarification hence all Mumbai based Telangana Natives must intensify agitation from Mumbai”

Telangana Poet K. L. Sangameshwar Rao (KLS Rao) stated that “Andhra Zamindars prospered through the diversion of water from the share of Telangana to their agricultural lands thus they generated huge income that was invested in Hyderabad City at throw-away prices under various government schemes by the former CMs of AP but now the costs have sky-rocketed thus Andhras are fearing that upon bifurcation of Telangana State they (Andhras) may lose those lands acquired illegally hence they are opposing the Telangana State whereas Common people of Andhra do not have any objection for the formation of Telangana.

TRS Mumbai Secretary Udutala Kumaraiah, TRS Mumbai Region Treasurer Chetla Venkatesh Goud, TRS Nerul In-Charge Mandapalli Laxman, TRS Activists M. Tirupati, A. Suresh, G. Shankar, P. Poshanna and others in large numbers attended the meeting.
