Sattayya, a TRS activist, committed suicide by hanging himself in Duddeda village in Medak district. He used the TRS flag itself to hang himself.
He left behind a suicide note stating that he is taking this extreme step due to the Seemandhra leaders’ conspiracy against Telangana formation.
Sattayya was active member of TRS party ever since the party was established in 2000. He even participated in a protest rally by TRS, where he himself burnt the effigy of CM Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Sattayya is married and has two daughters and a son. Knowing about Sattayya’s suicide, Telanganites reached his house in big numbers.
TRS party workers and other Telangana organizations also conducted a rastaroko on the Rajiv Rahadari as a mark of protest for Sattayya’s death.
