Khammam: The BRS leaders took strong exception to the remarks made by Thummala Nageshwar Rao who recently joined the Congress party. Thummala Nageshwar Rao said he helped Mr KCR become minister during the TDP regime. He never aspired to become a minister in BRS government but Mr KCR himself wanted him to join the party.
He was responding to Mr KCR’s statement that he took initiative and due to the friendship he had with Thummala, he invited him and made him a minister despite losing the election. However, Thummala Nageshwar Rao did not contribute to the party’s growth in Khammam district. He betrayed the party and leadership.
Addressing the media, Minister Mr Puvvada Ajay Kumar condemned Thummala’s comments against the chief minister. He had no moral right to comment on the chief minister who enjoys massive public faith in Telangana. “Had Mr KCR not given a political rebirth to Thummala, he would have been nowhere in politics now. He is already a retired politician,” Mr Ajay Kumar said.
