The Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Telangana state rose to Rs. 13.27 lakh croes, said IT and Industries minister Mr KT Rama Rao. Releasing the annual report of the industry department for the year 2022-2023 on “Telangana Parishramika Dinotsavam’ on Tuesday, the minister said there was an increase of 15.6 per cent growth in GSDP.
The per capita income of Telangana is Rs 3.17 lakh as against the national average of Rs 1.70 lakh. Elated at the growth rate, the minister remarked that it is only a trailer and the actual story will begin soon. Telangana ranked top in IT exports and registered excellent growth in all sectors – industry and agriculture. It adopted a unique model that came to be known as the Telangana model which is being sought after and replicated by other states including the Central government. The Telangana model concept involves inclusive, integrated and balanced development. “Our aim is to set a benchmark for development to the world,” Mr Rama Rao asserted.
