The per capita income in Telangana state which was Rs. 1,24,104 in the 2014-2015 financial year has risen to Rs. 3,17,115 in 2022-2023. This is an increase of 156 percent in the last nine years of BRS ruling in the state.
The national average for the corresponding period is Rs. 86,647 and Rs. 1,72,000 respectively with an increase of 98 percent. The per capita income in Telangana is 84.36 percent more than the national average, according to National Statistical Office (NSO).
The figures indicate the aim and commitment of BRS party to transform Telangana. Gujarat from where Prime Minister Mr. Modi hails ranked 11th in the per capita income. Kerala, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra occupy the next ranks after Telangana.
According to the NSO records, Telangana’s per capita income increased by Rs. 41,672 in 2022-23 which is an all-time record in the state. At the same time, the national per capita income increased by Rs. 21,993.
