Telangana state has set a new record by registering 69 per cent growth in GST collection in the last five years. It was all possible due to the reforms in state finances. The government focused on doubling the revenues, using every rupee for development and public welfare. The efforts paid off resulting in increased growth in GST collections.
In 2018-2019 the GST collection was Rs. 28,786 crore and in last year it was Rs. 41,881 crore. In five years there was a growth of Rs. 13,103 crore.
This achievement has put the Telangana state very sound in terms of economy.
