Telangana model is being discussed across the country: CM KCR

The entire country is in awe at the development achieved by the young state Telangana said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Addressing the formation day celebrations at the secretariat after hoisting the national flag, he said the Telangana model is now being much talked about across the country.

The fledgling state overcame many hurdles and established itself as a peerless state, contributing five per cent to the country’s GDP. Despite non-cooperation from the Central government, the state could handle all the problems on its own and this is part of the spirit of self-rule and self-pride. The CM in his lengthy speech listed out what the state government did regarding development and welfare. He also listed out how the state government’s initiatives benefited every community.

Earlier, KCR accompanied by scores of his party leaders and officials paid floral tributes to the Telangana martyrs at the Gun Park. The celebrations would continue for the next 20 days. Similar grand celebrations were held across the state with ministers and other important leaders hoisting the national flags in their respective districts. It was followed by speeches and cultural programmes.
