Telangana government issues order to fill 1,827 nursing posts

The state government gave clearance to recruit 1,827 Nursing posts to fill the vacancies in all teaching hospitals. This is in addition to the recruitment for 5,204 nursing posts which is underway. The nursing posts will be filled through direct recruitment by the Directorate of Medical Education through the Telangana Medical & Health Recruitment Board.

For the earlier notification to fill 5,204 nursing vacancies, a total of 40,936 candidates applied. Efforts are on to conduct an online test for them. Health Minister T Harish Rao said it was the resolve of CM KCR to ensure one medical college and a super speciality hospital be set up in every district in the state. To strengthen them, massive recruitment of staff is being taken up. By next year, another eight new medical colleges would be set up in the state and the government is working on it.
