Thanks to the proactive policies of the BRS government, Telangana has emerged as a frontrunner in fostering innovation, achieving a remarkable 4 per cent growth, a feat unmatched by any other state in the country. Recent reports suggest that this upward trajectory is poised to continue.
The latest findings from Ecowrap, a company specializing in incubating innovations (3I – India, Incubating, Innovations), highlight significant advancements across various sectors such as electronics, electrical, physics, biotechnology, civil engineering, metallurgy, and more. Notably, states like Gujarat, Telangana, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana are at top positions in intellectual property innovation.
Telangana’s innovation landscape has undergone a substantial transformation, with its innovation share soaring from 0.1 percent between 2004-2013 to an impressive 4 percent between 2014-2023. This surge is not confined to urban areas but is also permeating into the villages of the state.
The BRS government’s initiatives such as T-Hub, T-Works, WE-Hub, Telangana State Innovation Cell, etc, have contributed to this impressive growth. Beyond Telangana and Rajasthan, the spirit of innovation is also gaining momentum in states like Uttarakhand, Odisha, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir.
