The bountiful paddy crop in Telangana is coming to the rescue of various states. The Tamil Nadu government has requested the Telangana government to supply around seven lakh tonnes of paddy. The Tamil Nadu government has written a letter to the Telangana civil supplies department to this effect.
Earlier, Karnataka government has also requested Telangana rice to fulfill their poll promise of supplying 5 kgs rice to the poor in the state. All thanks to the increased paddy production in Telangana due to various interventions of the state government, many states are reaching out to Telangana for rice supply.
