The 50,000 people who attended the public meeting held on the concluding day of election campaign at Station Ghanpur stood testimony to the power of Telangana Rashtra Samithi in Telangana region.
Even though the election commission had barred vehicles for this meeting, thousands of people came by foot or by bullock carts. The enthusiasm in the crowd was palpable and they cheered lustily everytime KCR took potshots at the Seemandhra leaders.
Dr. Rajaiah turned emotional on seeing the sea of humanity which turned up at Station Ghanpur. He said he would cherish these moments for the rest if his life. He thanked each and everyone who came to the meeting.
KCR reminded the voters how important these elections were to the Telangana statehood movement. He ridiculed TDP candidate Kadiyam Srihari for contesting in these elections against his own promise.
The meeting has sent a strong signal to the voters in all six constituencies about how strong TRS is in the Telangana region.
