Stable government and able leadership drawing huge investments to Telangana: KTR

Emphasizing that a stable government and able leadership are the reasons behind attracting huge investments, IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao spoke at a public meeting after breaking the ground for Foxconn’s electronics manufacturing plant in Kongara Kalaan, Hyderabad. KTR said that in just two and half months after signing the MoU, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Foxconn plant took place.

KTR recalled that it was indeed a proud moment that the Foxconn delegation praised the speed and dedication of the Telangana government in attracting investments and creating jobs for the youth. “For any government, job creation and wealth generation are two challenging aspects but the Telangana government stood as a role model in both these aspects,” said KTR.

Saying that the government brought many huge investments and created lakhs of jobs in the last nine years, KTR said that no government can provide government jobs to each and everyone and thus the focus should be on generating employment in the private sector and encouraging self-employment. “Foxconn’s investment will create 35,000-40,000 jobs, and directly and indirectly almost one lakh jobs would be generated,” he added.

The Minister said that to make the local youth ready for jobs, the government is setting up a skill development center. He directed Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, and local MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy to coordinate with the officials to start the centre as soon as possible.

KTR also lambasted the opposition parties for duping the youth. He said, “One party which was involved in exam paper leaks is organizing ‘Unemployed March’ and another party, which failed on all counts for decades, is asking for one more chance.” KTR added that PM Modi has failed the youth by promising 18 crore jobs and an ‘unemployed march’ should be organized against him for cheating the youth.

KTR added that the Telangana government is going ahead with a welfare agenda and receiving accolades at the national and international levels. “Right from agriculture to IT, Telangana is on the top in all sectors,” he said.
