The highest polling percentage of 90.36% was recorded in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. The Hyderabad city registered a mere 47.88 polling per cent. Not many city dwellers evinced interest in voting. They considered it as a holiday and were busy with other avocations.

The highest polling percentage in the state was registered as follows; Medak – 86.73%, Jangaon – 86.34%, Suryapet – 85.99%, Nalgonda – 85.71%, Mahabubabad – 84.83%, Khammam – 83.83%, Siddipet – 83.05%, Gadwala – 82.82%, and Mulugu – 82.09%.
