With a view to curb crime against women, the TSRTC and police department jointly commissioned CCTV cameras in RTC and school buses. Feeling happy at the development, Minister Mr KT Rama Rao personally visited and witnessed the CCTVs installed in a bus in Sircilla district on Tuesday. Complimenting the officials for their initiative, he said the state government is sparing no effort in ensuring the safety and security of women.
KTR lauded the police department stating that the state police is the best in the country in maintaining law and order. It is also the best in the country in the utilisation of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras in preventing and detecting crime in the country. So far, CCTVs were installed in 77 buses in the state. They are all linked to the bus depots and district police offices. All the buses will be brought into the loop soon.
