Netizens hail Telangana govt’s decision to expand Hyderabad Metro Rail network

Many netizens have hailed the Telangana cabinet’s decision to expand the metro rail connectivity across Hyderabad connecting the outskirts and alongside the ORR. The decision to enhance the metro rail network by a total of around 400 kms with an outlay of Rs. 69,000 crores will change the face of public transportation in the city. Minister KTR has announced that the government has set an ambitious target to complete the project in three to five years.

On learning about the good news that Metro Rail will soon connect their vicinity, many netizens have welcomed the decision. Some people took to Twitter saying that this expansion plan will meet the growing needs of the city. Many have observed that the proposal will put the city’s growth on a fast track and is going to be a game changer for Telangana. 

The new metro corridors will come up from JBS to Thumkunta, Paradise junction to Kandlakoya, Isnapur to Miyapur, Miyapur to Lakdikapul, LB Nagar to Pedda Amberpet, Uppal to Bibinagar, Tarnaka to ECIL X Roads, Airport to Kandukur (Pharma City), to Shadnagar via Shamshabad (Airport Metro) and alongside the ORR. In addition to the above routes, the cabinet has also approved the BHEL-Lakdikapul line with connectivity to Miyapur and Nagole-LB Nagar line.

Rejoicing the significant announcement which will cut travel time and improve public transport, the netizens hoped that the construction of the new corridors would take up at a brisk pace. Many people thanked CM KCR and Minister KTR for giving a much-needed boost to the Hyderabad Metro Rail network.
