The efforts being made by chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao in uniting all the anti-BJP forces will have the complete support of CPI (M), said its state secretary T Veerabhadram. Resenting the fundamentalist agenda of BJP, he said there is a threat of violence in Telangana as BJP leaders are provoking and dividing people on the basis of religion. It was how they are winning elections in Karimnagar, Hyderabad, Nizamabad and elsewhere. In the past, power and money were the tools to tame the Opposition leaders but now the BJP made the CBI, ED, and IT tools to subdue those opposing it. It is toppling the democratically elected governments. It is threatening to depose Mr KCR who has 110 MLAs if it wins the Munugodu seat. It is an awful claim, Mr Veerabhadram said.
The CPI (M) leader said they believed that only Mr KCR can put up a strong fight against the BJP across the country and hence they decided to strengthen his hands. He said he was sure of TRS winning in Munugodu Assembly by-election. The Congress party lost its sheen and internal bickerings are further weakening its strength. Hence, they do not want to go to the losing side. He said his party is convening a meeting with 2000 important party workers and later planning a massive public meeting and motorcycle rally in Munugodu. Mr Veerabhadram said the welfare schemes launched by the ruling TRS party will ensure its victory. All the beneficiaries will definitely support Mr KCR and there was no doubt about it.
