IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao launched the Telangana State Robotics Framework, making it the first of its kind in the country. The vision of the framework is to create a sustainable robotics ecosystem in Telangana that champions innovation, entrepreneurship, and research & development, positioning the state as a leader in the field of robotics.
Minister KTR said that robotics is not just about automating repetitive tasks, but it is about unlocking new levels of creativity, productivity, and innovation by enabling us to do things that we could not do before. “Robotics provides several benefits such as improved safety, enhanced precision and accuracy, and increased efficiency. These benefits translate to potential for improvement in several industries like healthcare, precision manufacturing, logistics, and agriculture. Thus, by establishing the robotics ecosystem in the state, we create new avenues for growth in other industries and thereby boost the economic output and as a result, be a leader in the country.” said Minister KTR
The Telangana Robotics Framework is a pioneering effort by any state in the country and exemplifies our commitment to welcoming investors, startups, and robotics enthusiasts. It also reflects our desire to witness a tangible, positive impact on society at large, as we showcase Telangana’s potential to the nation and the world, the Minister added.
In order to foster the growth of the robotics ecosystem, MoUs were exchanged between the State government and five organisations – IIT Hyderabad, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, ART Park, AgHub, PJTSAU and All India Robotics Association, in the presence of Minister KTR.
