Yet another place of dignity for the departed has been added in the city of Hyderabad. Ministers KT Rama Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Malla Reddy inaugurated a modern funeral home at Dhaniyala Gutta in Begumpet. The thematic graveyard named Mahaparinirvana (Vaikunta Dhaamam) is built by the GHMC with a cost of Rs. 8.54 crores.
Spread over 4 acres, the modern funeral complex has multiple facilities to ensure grieving families do not face obstacles. Facilities like a ceremonial hall, funeral platforms, waiting halls, toilet blocks, bathing spaces, circular butterfly garden, and cafeteria were made available here.
Speaking on the occasion, minister KTR said despite many hurdles, the construction was completed. “To become a global city, a city should have flyovers, public transport system, 24-hour power, drinking water supply and drains and nalas should be repaired. Aren’t we proud of the city’s development in the last nine years?” KTR asked the public.
The minister added that they were developing nalas, repairing drainages and solving issues that were pending for decades. He recalled that actor Rajinikanth and actress Laya heaped praises on the transformation of the city in the last nine years.
