Merger of TSRTC is for welfare of employees: Minister Puvvada Ajay

Dispelling the illusions of opposition parties, Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar urged people not to believe in them. Chief Minister Mr K Chandrashekhar Rao has taken a revolutionary decision to protect the corporation that has been in the red financially for a long time. He reminded that at one time the Central government asked the Telangana government to disown and disinvest the loss-making TSRTC, but the CM refused to do so in the interest of the welfare of the employees. The Centre offered to give Rs. 1,000 crores in return, but CM KCR did not tempt.

“None can question the commitment of CM KCR towards the welfare of the people of Telangana. It is not just the case of the TSRTC merger but in every decision he makes,” Mr Ajay Kumar said. People and the employees of the TSRTC should remember that at a time when public transport organisations are being closed across the country, it is the Telangana state government that is opposed to such a move. The entity of the TSRTC will remain intact and employees will have more job security. The state government would come to the rescue of the corporation as and when needed.

The minister opined that the Governor unnecessarily made it an issue while the opposition parties are making casting aspersions on CM KCR and his decisions. He assured the people that one need not panic or doubt the intentions of the BRS party. The party is sure to return to power for the third consecutive time in the state. The wishful thinking and curses of the BJP and Congress leaders will not deter the prospects of the BRS party in the ensuing elections in Telangana. People are with CM KCR and ready to bless him once again without any hesitation, Mr Ajay Kumar asserted.
