BJP cadres in large numbers are joining the ruling BRS party ahead of the Assembly elections in Dubbak indicating declining public patronage to that party. The BJP workers in Doulthabad, Mirdoddi, Akbarpeta Bhumpalli and Chegunta mandals joined the BRS party in the presence of MP K Prabhakar Reddy.
On Saturday, Pothareddypeta sarpanch Putla Shankaraiah and 30 of his followers joined the ruling BRS party. Mr Prabhakar Reddy welcomed them into the party presenting pink scarves. Akbarpeta, Bhumpalli BRS president Jeedipalli Ravi, DCCB director Bakki Venkataiah and others were present.
Dubbaka is a stronghold of BRS party which it narrowly lost in the by-election to BJP. However, this time is damn sure to regain its seat.
