KTR keeps up his promise; builds brand new govt school in his grand mother’s village

A beautiful school building with all necessary infrastructure on par with corporate schools was put in place in Konapur village of Bibipet mandal in Kamareddy district. It was the native village of his grandmother and his mother Shobha was born here. His mother would be accompanying Mr KTR for the inaugural function soon.

During one of his visits to the village, Mr KTR found the existing government school building in bad shape lacking basic amenities and adequate staff. He promised to ensure a new building in gratitude to his mother. Accordingly, he spent his personal money Rs 2.40 lakh on one acre of land on the outskirts of the village. A brand new structure was in place now with ground plus one building with 14 classrooms. On the first floor, seven classrooms are there and on the ground floor, seven classrooms, a Headmaster chamber, a waiting room and a library are there.

It has separate toilets for girls and boys. It is fully furnished with modern benches for the students. The old school was offering only up to the 5th class and now this new school will have up to the 10th class. In addition to this, the minister used his good offices and sanctioned Rs. 2.50 lakh for the high-level bridge connecting Konapur village and Rs. one lakh for laying Cement Concrete roads in the village.

CM KCR also belongs to the Posanipalli village of the same Bibipet mandal where he was born and brought up by his mother Venkatamma. His parents later shifted to Chinthamadaka in Siddipet district. Konapur sarpanch Narasavva was elated at the gesture of Mr Rama Rao and said he is a “proud grandson of our village.” The new school serves as a good memory of his grandmother Venkatamma, she said.
