In a latest influx of leaders from neighbouring Maharashtra into the BRS many women leaders from different political parties of Maharashtra joined the BRS in the presence of Party President and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday.
Chandrashekhar Rao welcomed the women leaders into the party by with the party scarf. The leaders said they are impressed by the welfare and development schemes implemented by the Telangana government for women. The schemes have become a role model for the country and that the top priority given to women in government schemes proves the vision of the Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao, they said.
The women leaders promised to work towards a better future for all women in India under the leadership the BRS chief. Chandrashekhar Rao would lead the BRS to victory in the upcoming elections and that he would ensure that all women in the country would get equal opportunities, they hoped. The women leaders who joined the BRS includes sitting elected representatives of urban and rural local bodies in Maharashtra and the party leaders from BJP, Shiv Sena, BSP, Congress and others.
