The ‘X’ (Twitter) handle of the Indian National Congress (@INCIndia) is blatantly claiming credit for initiatives started during the tenure of former CM KCR. The party is repeatedly misleading people by presenting old schemes and initiatives as new ones started by the Congress.
In the last few days, there have been four instances where the Congress took credit for work done by the BRS government. INC India is cleverly posting about the old schemes purportedly to portray them as new ones.
The party posted about the Rs. 20 lakh overseas scholarship, claiming that the scheme is realizing the dreams of students. However, the scheme was started by KCR and has benefited around 7,000 students pursuing higher education abroad.
It also posted about 24-hour free power supply to farmers as if they had implemented the scheme after coming to power. In reality, the BRS government started the scheme on January 1, 2018, providing round-the-clock, uninterrupted free power to farmers.
Furthermore, in line with KCR’s vision to establish one government medical college in every district, the BRS government established 26 new government medical colleges in the last 10 years and got approval for 8 more colleges last year. Surprisingly, the Congress handle also took credit for this achievement by posting that 11 new medical colleges received approval recently.
Additionally, the Congress party has been continuously claiming that they filled around 30,000 government jobs in just 100 days by handing over appointment letters to selected candidates. This same lie is being peddled by INC India, where they claimed that the Congress government in Telangana filled 28,942 jobs in 100 days.
Whether the Telangana Congress is misleading the Congress party’s official ‘X’ handle or if they are deliberately doing so remains a question.
