Addressing the gathering at the inaugural of ‘Times Mega Property Expo-2023’ in Hyderabad, Minister KTR stated that the growth seen in Hyderabad till now is just the trailer, and the movie is ahead. “We have many more new projects and a great vision for the city in the coming days,” he added. The Minister highlighted the remarkable progress of Telangana across the sectors under Chief Minister KCR’s leadership. He also emphasized Hyderabad’s improved infrastructure, booming real estate, and continuous growth.
Minister KTR stated that no city can be built in one day but with good governance and proper planning, cities can experience remarkable growth over time. He stated that the Telangana Government mainly focused on providing world-class infrastructure facilities to the people and the result can be seen today by all. He added that 24/7 uninterrupted power supply is being provided to all the sectors in the State.
Minister KTR mentioned that under previous governments, the people of Hyderabad sat on dharnas and fought for drinking water which was supplied in water tankers, especially during summers. But today, under the visionary leadership of CM KCR, water is being supplied from the Krishna and Godavari rivers which is quenching the thirst of the people of Hyderabad. Currently, Hyderabad city’s population is over one crore. Even if the population increases to three crores, there will be sufficient water for all until 2050, said Minister KTR.
Minister KTR mentioned that prominent personalities from various sections of life, including Super Star Rajinikanth have appreciated the growth of Hyderabad. He added that global real estate leaders have highlighted Hyderabad’s rapid development in their reports. Even leaders like Chandrababu Naidu praised the development taking place in Hyderabad city, KTR said.
Talking about the infrastructure projects in Hyderabad, Minister KTR stated that the Telangana Government has completed 35 infra projects under SRDP in GHMC limits and has been focusing on strengthening the transport and road network in the city, keeping in view the future needs of the city. Speaking on the massive plans for metro connectivity, Minister KTR said that the Telangana Government is working with proper planning to complete the Hyderabad Airport Metro Express project and further extend the metro around the Outer Ring Road with 415 KM.
Minister KTR stated that the flow of investments will continue only when there is peace and harmony in the region. He added that the Government has especially focused on law and order to ensure the safety of the citizens. He recalled that the city witnessed curfews and riots every year before Telangana State formation. But no such incidents happened after state formation, he added. KTR stated that the Government of Telangana succeeded in providing uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, and safety and security to its people.
Minister KTR said that the real estate sector is not all about buying and selling. About 30 lakh people make a living from this sector, he said. Minister KTR stated that the real estate developers need to compete on international standards to intensify the infra development of Hyderabad. He appealed to the real estate builders to attempt new and unique designs while constructing buildings that would elevate the brand name of Hyderabad. Minister KTR added that after Mumbai, it was Hyderabad that stood in second position in having the skyscraper constructions. He appealed to the fraternity to construct green buildings by adopting green principles.
KTR said that the real estate sector has scope for investment all around Hyderabad city and appealed to the builders to plan their projects while considering all the areas. Talking about continuing the success story of Hyderabad and development all across Telangana, Minister KTR said, “With unwavering commitment and unflinching support of CM KCR we will continue to forge ahead.”
