Banswada: The statehood of the Telangana region is the result of sacrifices made by scores of people. It is not the result of mercy by any political party, said Chief Minister Mr K Chandrashekhar Rao. Several people died and crores of people endured discrimination and deprivation at the hands of rulers from other parts of the state.
Addressing a public meeting at Banswada presided over by the sitting MLA and Assembly speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, the chief minister lost his heart to speak at the meeting suddenly. He said he was deeply disturbed by the surprising murder attempt on Dubbaka party candidate K Prabhakar Reedy who was stabbed by an unknown person during the election campaign. Mr Prabhakar Reddy was shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad for further treatment.
Mr KCR said the people of Banswada could happily rely on Pocharam Srinivas Reddy who is a father-like figure to all the people in the constituency. Having associated with him for a long time, he could assess the hard work and commitment to poor people by Srinivas Reddy. “People hardly get a leader like Pocharam Srinivas Reddy who is a farmer himself and aware of in and outs of the farming sector,” Mr KCR said. The chief minister appealed to people to vote in great numbers for Pocharam Srinivas Reddy for a bright future.
