Happening Hyderabad gets a brand new addition; Lake Front Park is ready for inauguration

A new aesthetic attraction has been added to the happening city of Hyderabad. The Lake Front Park near the Jalavihar in Necklace Road is gearing up for inauguration. The HMDA has taken up the beautification around Hussain sagar and subsequently the Telangana government has approved the beautification and development of a Lake Front park in an area of 10 acres at a cost of Rs. 22 crores.

The major components of this park, soon to be inaugurated by Minister KT Rama Rao, includes four elevated walkways,curvilinear walkway, and a walkway connecting all components in the park. The architectural elements include pavilions, promenade area, panchatatva walkway, central pathway, under passes etc. The major attractions of this park abutting the Hussain Sagar are a deck over the water body with a cantilever, pergolas with seating, illuminated light sculptures at focal point which adds aesthetic view.

The park is developed with rich landscape greenery with exotic varieties of four lakhs plants along with bar coding name boards of the plants, a technique adopted for the first time by the HMDA. 25 year old trees are successfully transplanted inside this park and 40 variety of plants which can survive against drain water and shade, along with mosquitoes repellent plants, scented and  aromatic plants were planted inside the premises.

The park will open to the public from 5:30 AM to 11:30 PM with a nominal entry fee of Rs. 10/- for children, Rs. 50/- for adults, and Rs. 100/- per month for morning walkers.
