Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will formally launch his government’s another flagship programme Grama Jyothi on August 15 and the government will conduct Grama Jyothi week from Aug 17 to 24.
Rao will launch Grama Jyothi at Gangadevipalle village in Warangal. The CM held a meeting with district SPs and collectors on giving finishing touches to Grama Jyothi programme here on Thursday.
The programme envisages preparing plans for development of villages for five years and involving residents of the village in different development works in a big way.
The development plans should be launched as village as a unit, Rao said.
“Gangadevipalle in Warangal, Ankapur in Nizamabad and Mulkanuru in Karimnagar are some of the best villages in the state for implementation of panchayat raj and cooperative systems,” Rao said.
