Minister and BRS party working president Mr KTR has asked the farmers not to panic in view of untimely rains and crop damages. He wanted party leaders to undertake field visits and boost the morale of farmers. The state government is committed to the welfare of farmers, KTR said.
The minister reminded that CM KCR has visited several districts and assured the farmers earlier and announced Rs. 10,000 per acre of crop damage. Mr KTR reviewed the situation in Sircilla and held a teleconference with the district leaders. He directed them to assess the crop damage by undertaking field visits and submit the report to the state government.
KTR also directed the party leaders to visit their villages and infuse confidence among the farmers about the possible help from the BRS government. This week, sudden rains hit the state and many farmers lost their standing and harvested crops. In Nizamabad, Karimnagar and other places the crops laid for drying washed away in unexpected rains.
