Every municipality to have a ‘Swachh Badi’ soon: Minister KTR

The Municipal Administration Minister Mr KT Rama Rao has mooted the idea of setting up a ‘Swachh Badi’ in every town across the state. The government is setting aside Rs. 71 crore for the purpose. The schools will inculcate and create awareness of sanitation for children from an early age. Similarly, every town will have a mini stadium and an old age home.

Mr Rama Rao took part in the inauguration of ward offices at several places in Hyderabad city. The ward office system was launched on Friday which envisages bringing the civic administration to the doorsteps of citizens. They offer a wide variety of services as per the citizens’ charter again a unique system introduced by the BRS government. Commemorating the ongoing decennial celebrations of state formation, Mr Rama Rao took part in a function at Shilpa Kala Vedika where he released the urban development report. “Our system is integrated, inclusive, innovative and balanced development of all sectors simultaneously,” Mr Rama Rao said.

The BRS government is allocating 10 percent as Green Budget which is nowhere in the country. The municipal administration is giving permissions for the construction of buildings within 21 days. “Revolutionary changes were brought and policies revised to suit the modern day needs thus making the lives of citizens hassle-free,” he said.
