
Minister KT Rama Rao said that the distribution of double bedroom houses is being done in a very transparent manner without having to pay a single rupee bribe. KTR has started the distribution of the second phase of double bedroom houses in Dundigal in Quthbullapur constituency on Thursday. The house titles were handed over to the beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the distribution of 30, 000 houses out of one lakh double bedroom houses built in Hyderabad will be completed with this. He said that the remaining 70,000 double bedroom houses will also be given to the poor in the next month and a half in a very transparent manner. To build 4000 houses in Dundigal, Rs.10 lakh has been spent on each house. For constructing one lakh houses in Hyderabad, the Stae government has spent Rs 9,718 crore. But the market value of one lakh houses is between Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 crores. The KCR government is handing over those assets in the hands of the poor, Rama Rao explained.
Explaining an interesting development that occurred in the distribution of the first phase of double bedroom houses Rama Rao said that Jagadgirigutta 126th division Mahila Congress president Kausalya got a double bedroom house and in the same division a BJP leader Sunitha also got a house in the first phase.
According to CM KCR’s idea, out of 13,300 houses distributed in eight areas, 470 were distributed to disabled people, 1,923 to dalits, 655 to tribals and 8652 to others, he explained. There are 27 other States in India is any State constructing double bedroom houses like Telangana and handing over them to poor people. Is any government led by Congress or BJP has given houses with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, one hall and one kitchen in 560 square feet, he questioned.
The standard of living of poor people improved only after BRS formed the government. Only under the leadership of KCR, justice is being done for the poor. It is the government’s responsibility to provide houses to all the deserving people, Rama Rao assured.
