BRS founder president and Chief Minister Mr K Chandrashekar Rao said there would be a coalition government at the centre after the next general elections. The regional parties would play an important role and BRS would play a key role in the government formation at the Centre. It would definitely demand its share of funds and development then
Mr KCR was addressing a public meeting at Nizamabad as part of his ongoing election campaign. He said the BJP denied a single medical college of 150 sanctioned across the country. It also failed to sanction a single Navodaya school which is mandatory. The BJP discriminated against the Telangana state. Despite making repeated representations, Mr Modi failed to respond positively. The same BJP leaders are now touring Telangana state seeking votes from people here, he said seeking support for the party candidate Ganesh Gupta.
The Congress party is no different either. It was forcibly merged Telangana into AP much against the wishes of the people here. They had to sacrifice their lives and struggle for the next 60 years to secure a separate Telangana state. The Congress that ruled the state for about 50 years failed to provide basic needs such as drinking water and electricity.
It was the BRS party that sorted out the problems one by one during the past decade. It introduced several welfare schemes and strengthened the agriculture sector through Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, free power and Dharani services. Now the Congress leaders want to undo all that good done by the BRS government. “It is up to you people to decide whom to choose,” he said.
There were gloomy days without water, and electricity, poor agricultural operations, and corruption everywhere. They were all tackled by this BRS government. The development is before the eyes of people. Mr KCR wanted the people to go back to their villages and discuss comparing days during the Congress and BRS regimes. “You decide who did what. Which party is people-friendly,” he pointed out.
Earlier, Mr KCR addressed a massive public meeting at Bodhan seeking public support for the party candidate Shakeel Ahmed. He said it was the Congress party that was responsible for all the ills. The Congress neglected the Nizamsagar project and made it defunct. It was the BRS government that revived it. The Singur and Nizamasagar are exclusively now meant for Nizamabad and more water will be supplied through Kaleshwaram as well.
The Congress candidate Mr Sudarshan Reddy when he was minister failed to revive even the defunct canals. It was the BRS government that revived all the distributory canals strengthening the irrigation system in Nizamabad district.
