Choose between current and Congress: KTR tells people

Exposing the Congress leaders’ ignorance and lack of policy on the power issue, the BRS working president has asked people not to believe in what they are saying. He was referring to the point made by TPCC President Revanth Reddy time and again that farmers just needed three hours of electricity to wet their fields as against the 24 hours of free power being provided by the ruling BRS party.

The Congress lacked understanding of the needs of farmers and their plight. He forgot how the farmers suffered with erratic and inadequate power supplies and cuts during nights. They were forced to leave families in midnight to wet their crops risking their lives against deadly snakes. The present system of 24 hours free power supply gave the farmers a choice to use it as and when needed without any worries.

Similarly, Mr KTR took strong exception to the remarks made by Revanth Reddy on the Rythu Bandhu schemes as it is an offering to the beggars. It is nothing but insulting to the farming community which comprises over 70 lakh. They are all happy to receive some financial assistance from the state government. It was introduced by the humane chief minister Mr KCR for the first time anywhere in the country.

The BRS leader accompanied by seniors Ponnala Laxmaiah and others addressed a media conference where he lashed out at the Congress. He said the party lacked a proper policy on any issue. Unlike in their regime, there are power cuts, power holidays, and industry holidays among others. He said he appealed to people to chase the Congress leaders away to avoid a short supply of current and water for irrigation.
