Chaos prevails in Telangana Congress after release of first list of candidates

After the Congress released its first list of candidates for the ensuing Assembly elections in Telangana on Sunday, suddenly confusion and chaos erupted. Scores of leaders left the party accusing TPCC president A Revanth Reddy of betraying them and selling away the party tickets. He was accused of fielding weak candidates only to help the ruling BRS candidates in several constituencies.

The discontent across the state within the Congress party is public now. The party that was believed to be taking head on the ruling BRS party is nowhere now as leaders within the party are not happy with the state of affairs. However, Mr Revanth Reddy ignoring the massive discontent still putting up a brave face challenging the CM KCR and his party leaders with his cheap talk. His own followers in the Uppal constituency one Somasekhar Reddy and others quit the party just ahead of the elections.

The seniors within the party are not happy with his functioning. Many left the party while others compromised with him only to see how things shaped up over the course of time. A major upheaval is expected within the Congress party after it releases its second list of candidates or after finalising the total list of candidates for the forthcoming elections.
