The BJP leaders who have been thumping their chests against the ruling BRS government in Telangana are scattered a lot now. Each leader has his own agenda and is least bothered about the sentiments of the party’s high command. They turned into an unruly crowd and are talking every possible nonsense.
The other day Adilabad MP Soyam Bapu Rao confessed in an internal meeting of the party that he used MPLADS fund for his personal needs – to construct a house and get his son married off. But later, he retracted and went on the offensive. The party is seen as a two-part organisation – the old timers and those who have recently joined the party from other political parties. These two groups are working one against the other.
Huzurabad MLA Eatela Rajender who thinks of himself as an invincible man seems to have gone into hibernation. His followers still bat for him demanding an honourable post in BJP. Meanwhile, Dubbaka MLA M Raghunandan Rao, new entrants Konda Vishweswar Reddy, M Shashidhar Reddy and others are nowhere to be seen. State unit president Bandi Sanjay posing to be nonchalant is going ahead with his operations. On Tuesday, he reportedly held discussions with the party’s national president Jagat Prakash Nadda and other important leaders. He reportedly discussed the complacency prevailing within the party in Telangana, particularly after the party’s debacle in the Karnataka Assembly elections.
