‘Chalo Nalgonda’ effect: Congress govt to introduce a resolution in Assembly on Krishna projects issue

It appears that the Congress government has felt the heat created by the call by BRS President KCR to organise a meeting in Nalgonda on February 13 on the Krishna projects issue.

Anticipating the public outrage after KCR’s public meeting, the Revanth Reddy government has opted to introduce a resolution in the ongoing Assembly sessions. The resolution will be introduced to affirm that the state government will not transfer control of the Krishna projects to the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) controlled by the central government.

It has to be noted that the Congress government has agreed to relinquish the maintenance of Krishna river projects to the KRMB. Protesting the decision, the BRS Party gave a clarion call to the public to fight for the rights and interests of Telangana.

Former CM KCR urged party members to expose the Congress party’s anti-Telangana stance and to safeguard Telangana’s interests in securing its rightful share of Krishna water.
