BRS to protest against removal of Charminar and Kakatiya Kala Thoranam from State emblem: KTR

BRS party working president KTR condemned the Congress party’s efforts to remove Charminar and Kakatiya Kala Thoranam from the state emblem. Today, KTR, along with senior party leaders, visited Charminar and addressed the media, demanding that the Congress government not remove Charminar from the official emblem.

KTR described this effort as foolish and stubborn, disregarding the self-respect and emotions of the people of Telangana. He also criticized these efforts as a diversion tactic to shift people’s attention away from the ongoing agricultural and administrative crises, goverrnment’s corruption in the state. KTR labeled Revanth Reddy’s attempts to erase KCR and his initiatives from Telangana’s history as utterly foolish, emphasizing that no one can erase the history of Telangana.

He accused the newly formed Congress government of acting out of political malice and vengeance, ignoring the positive developments of the past ten years. KTR questioned the sudden necessity and urgency to remove these symbols, leaving aside the electoral promises that should be the current government’s primary priority.

“Hyderabad is the spirit of Telangana, and Charminar is the symbol of Hyderabad. Globally, Hyderabad is recognized by the symbol of Charminar,” KTR said. He strongly condemned the decision to remove Charminar and Kakatiya Kala Thoranam from the state emblem. Despite significant opposition from the people of Telangana and activists, the government is acting with political malaise.

KTR warned that if the Congress government does not revoke its decision, the BRS party will launch protests across Telangana. He pointed out that when Hyderabad celebrated its 400th anniversary, it was the Congress government that grandly celebrated the occasion, using Charminar as the logo for the entire celebrations. KTR ridiculed the current Congress leaders, especially Revanth Reddy who recently joined from other political parties and became chief minister, for their lack of knowledge about their own party’s history.

KTR highlighted the numerous sacrifices and contributions of the people under the leadership of KCR and Bharat Rashtriya Samiti, which led to the formation of Telangana. He alleged that the Congress government’s attitude and foolish efforts have ruined the celebratory atmosphere of Telangana’s formation.
