BRS support must for the formation of government at centre: Harish Rao

The finance minister, BRS senior leader has said it is not possible to form a government at the Centre without the support of the BRS party in 2024. Every effort will be made to unseat the BJP and without KCR’s support government formation will be difficult. The days of BJP are numbered, he said. Harish Rao added that the Telangana government will get enough funds for development and welfare after the ensuing Parliament elections and the BRS Party will play a key role in politics at the Centre.

Mr Harish Rao was addressing the Anganwadi workers meeting at Siddipet. The BRS government promoted 600 Anganwadi workers. The government enhanced their remuneration and filled all the vacant positions. Now the CPI and CPI (M) leaders are coming and trying to trap them to form unions. “The Left parties are trying to use Anganwadi workers to blackmail the state government for their political ends. You should all be very careful and not fall into their trap,” he said. The Central government stalled Rs. 1.10 lakh crores funds due to Telangana for the past two years, he added.

Mr Harish Rao said CM KCR would kindly look into their further demand such as retirement benefits. Mr KCR was all in favour of Anganwadi workers. “You should all work to ensure the victory of BRS party and strengthen CM KCR in forthcoming Assembly elections,” he said
