The BRS is with its like-minded parties and there is no need for it to join with INDIA or NDA, said its founder and Telangana CM K Chandrahekhar Rao. Addressing the gathering in Sangli district in Maharashtra, Mr KCR mocked the parties that ruled the country for five decades talking about ‘New India’. They hoodwinked people and took the country backwards.
“Where they are in the ruling, they did nothing to people and the country. Being in opposition, now they talk about building a new India,” he pointed out. Mr KCR said they started the election campaign. The BRS party has 14.1 lakh active functionaries in 288 Assembly constituencies in Maharashtra. “We completed 50 per cent of our work. Soon, the party will expand into every village here,” Mr KCR said.
Maharashtra state is richly endowed with natural resources and has enormous employment opportunities. It is very disheartening to learn that Aurangabad town lacked a drinking water supply. Who is responsible for the pathetic situation? Now, the people of Maharashtra are looking up to BRS with a lot of expectations. The BRS on its part is ready to shoulder the responsibility and show how a political party with commitment can do wonders.
KCR added that it was also sad to see the conditions of Dalits in Maharashtra. When the USA could eschew racial discrimination and make Obama the President, what ails India in ending untouchability?, Mr KCR sought to know. BRS Maharashtra leaders – Sachin Bhau Sathe, Shankaranna Dondge, Manik Kadam, Bhagirath Bhalke, state convenor K Vamshidhar Rao and several others were present.
