Anticipating a coalition government at the Centre in 2024, the Telangana state planning board vice chairman B Vinod Kumar said the BRS will play a key role in the coalition. The BRS will then bring the much-awaited railway coach manufacturing factory to Kazipet at any cost. His party knows how to pressurise the central government and get things done.
It was treacherous on the part of BJP led government trying to please the people of Warangal with a mere wagon overhauling workshop. The Central government that ruled out setting up railway coach factories, has indeed established one in Maharashtra and another in Gujarat state. Despite the promise made in the bifurcation Act and parliament’s clearance, the same railway coach manufacturing unit was denied to Telangana state, he said.
People of Warangal district have been demanding the coach factory for about four decades and the BRS would not give up its fight for the same. Mr Modi having witnessed the resentment among the people changed the overhauling factory into a wagon manufacturing unit which is not a substitute for the railway coach manufacturing unit, Mr Vinod Kumar contended. Mr Modi has to answer to the people of Warangal during his forthcoming visit, Mr Vinod Kumar added.
