BRS govt repaired and restored defunct SRSP canals: CM KCR in Wardhannapet

Wardhannapet: Soon after the formation of Telangana state, the BRS government tackled the problems one by one. The irrigation water, drinking water, electricity, and restoration of village tanks under Mission Kakatiya were all done in a phased manner, said Chief Minister Mr K Chandrashekhar Rao. He was addressing a well-attended public meeting in Wardhannapet as part of the election campaign here on Friday.

Scores of check-dams were built across the Akeru rivulet. Water from the Devadula project is being supplied to Wardhannapet now. The constituency turned fertile with several initiatives. The municipality also got Rs. 160 crore from the state government. Mr KCR asked people not to believe in the false propaganda of opposition parties that their lands would be taken for the outer ring road.

KCR asked people not to believe in what Congress leaders are saying. They are out to undo all that has been well done by the BRS government during the past decade. The Congress leaders are making nonsensical comments which are nothing but anti-people. “You all go home and think twice. Do not vote in haste. You elect your MLA Aroori Ramesh this time with over one lakh majority. He is a friendly and simple man. He moves amongst you always,” Mr KCR said.

Ministers Satyavathi Rathod and Errabelli Dayakar Rao, MP P Dayakar, MLAs Vinay Bhaskar and N Narender and others were present.
