Chief Minister KCR had devised another unique scheme for the school children. From October 24, the schools will offer healthy breakfast in the first hour. This will help nearly 23 lakh school children. Every day they will have a variety of breakfasts with millets, chutney or sambar.
The scheme is aimed at poor rural children whose parents depend on daily wage labour. The children lack focus on studies and are often malnourished. This scheme will be implemented all over the state in 642 aided model schools, 194 model schools, 100 madrasas and about 1.50 lakh students are enrolled in them. In all the 28,807 schools, there are 23.05 lakh students across the state and all these children will benefit from the scheme,
