Bless BRS party for more prosperity: Minister KTR

The BRS party that proved itself executing the development and welfare programmes is asking nothing more from people. It seeks their blessings once again in the forthcoming elections, said IT and Municipal Administration minister K T Rama Rao. Addressing a massive public meeting at Thungathurthi constituency in Suryapet district on Thursday, he said the state government spent Rs. 2,600 crore for development works and Rs. 3,500 crore for welfare programmes in the constituency. A total of Rs 6,000 crores were spent in the Thungathurthi constituency. “I have come prepared with facts and figures. There are some Opposition leaders who just bluff and mislead people. I am ready to give details of funds spent here,” Mr Rama Rao said.

36,491 acres of irrigable land in the constituency increased to 1,41,057 acres by bringing in water from KalesHwaram project. “Why the Opposition is demanding KCR should be unseated and jailed. Because he brought prosperity to people?,” he sought to know. At a time when the people of Nalgonda district were living like half-dead with the fluoride problem, it was CM KCR who vowed and ended the problem once and for all. Would people pardon the Congress leaders who hurled profanity at Mr KCR? KTR asked.

The minister asserted that he was convinced that again the BRS candidate will win with a majority of over 50,000 in Thungathurthy constituency going by the massive attendance of people to the meeting. Energy minister G Jagadish Reddy said the CLP leader who is on padayatra in Nalgonda has been instigating people. He questions the BRS government and what it did to Nalgonda. “The officers who worked under your Congress regime are now working here. You can know from them the difference between Congress and BRS regimes,” he said. MLA G Kishore said for the first time under the BRS rule, the gap between people and the officials narrowed down. People are having access to the officials and elected representatives. The development is there to witness. Every family is benefitting from one or other welfare schemes, he said.
