BJP state unit in bewilderment as leaders leave the party

The BJP leaders who talk loftily of coming to power in Telangana are in a state of puzzle. At a time when the party should focus on the selection of candidates for 119 Assembly constituencies, they went on engaging in bragging. They failed to focus on the party prospects in constituencies, candidates worthy of fielding and political alliances. They considered that their only duty is to abuse CM Mr KCR and his party and search for its failures.

The election committee constituted by the party’s high command seems to be existing for the namesake. It failed to attract leaders worth their salt from the BRS as it claimed and also failed to stop the leaders from leaving the party. Former minister A Chandrasekhar left the party despite the best efforts by MLA Eatela Rajender. Other leaders like Vijaya Shanthi, Konda Vishweswar Reddy, K Rajagopal Reddy and G Vivek remain calm and away from the party activities for quite some time.

Mr Eatela Rajender also failed to convince Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao to join the BJP. Many of the leaders are introspecting and calculating their prospects in BJP. Those who have joined the BJP are now regretting their decision and worried what would be the position of the party at the hustings.
