Be careful while filing nominations: CM KCR tells party candidates

Chief Minister and BRS party president Mr KCR has asked the party candidates to be careful while filing nomination papers and filling up B-Forms. They should avoid all technical issues and if need be consult the party’s legal team. A team of experts were kept ready to help the candidates or they could contact the party secretary and advocate Mr Bharat Kumar over the telephone.

Despite getting elected with a good majority, some of the MLAs had to face court cases as the defeated candidates pointed out technical issues in affidavits. It was not good to be overconfident and bank on past experience. Every care should be taken time and again to avoid any legal complications. They should be thorough with the election rules and if they do not know, they can get guidance from the party legal expert teams, CM KCR said.

Mr KCR has warned all the candidates to be courteous and gentle with everybody and all the time. This is a very crucial time and during elections, people expect us to be good and friendly. They see if the candidate recognises them and acknowledges their work. Be it a village-level or mandal party worker. Keep the ego aside for a while, personally visit the angry party cadres and sit with them to iron out any misunderstanding. That is how one succeeds in a public life.

Mr KCR has said except for five or six places, all the sitting candidates were given a chance. The party could adjust all without much disturbance. However, there will be people who are still out to create hurdles for us. Be careful and gentle with everybody, he said. Mr KCR has said a total of 51 B-Forms were prepared for now and the rest would be prepared in a day or two as he had to sign hundreds of times and it requires little time.

Mr KCR who attaches great importance to the auspicious timings according to the almanac arrived at 12.10 noon and the distribution of B-Forms was set to 12.15 noon. After a formal meeting and lunch break, he is expected to release the party manifesto for the elections in 2023. He would be kickstarting the party campaign in the evening from Husnabad constituency.
