A delegation of the Chief Election Commission to arrive in Telangana on Oct 3

Led by the chief election commissioner Mr Rajiv Kumar, a delegation of 17-member team of CEC is arriving in Telangana on October 3. In view of forthcoming Assembly elections in the state, the CEC officials will be reviewing the arrangements for the purpose.

On the first day, they will be holding meetings with the representatives of various political parties at 2.30 pm, at 5 pm, the CEC officials will be holding a meeting with the enforcement agencies, and at 6.30 pm, they will meet the local election commission officials. On the second day, on October 4, the election commission officials will meet district collectors, superintendents of police and police commissioners. On the third day, on October 5, the election commission officials will meet voters, differently abled voters, and young voters. Later they will hold talks with the chief secretary and Director General of Police. Around 1 pm, they will be holding a press conference with the state media and disclose their observations and preparations being made for the ensuing assembly elections.

This visit has raised curiosity among people about the election schedule and even the political parties are waiting for it. There has been a guess that the election schedule might be announced this week after the visit of the CEC delegation.
