The Finance Department has given its nod for filling 2,904 vacancies in various wings of the Police (Home) Department in Telangana through direct recruitment to be taken up by the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board.
The posts are in addition to 7,450 vacancies, permission for filling of which has already been given in July this year.
The vacancies cleared now include that of Police Constables in Telangana State Special Police-TSSP (2,379), Reserve Sub-Inspector-TSSP (90), Sub-Inspector-Civil (101), Sub-Inspector-State Armed Reserve Central Police Lines (2) and Police Constables-Communications (332).
In the orders issued giving clearance for taking up the recruitment, Secretary (Finance) N. Siva Sankar stated that the 2,904 vacancies in various categories would be filled through direct recruitment.
“Keeping in view the actual requirement of manpower with reference to the nature of work and activities of the department and also the overall financial implications, the government accords permission to fill the vacancies”, Mr. Siva Sankar said in the orders.
