There is no possibility of another lockdown in Telangana, CM KCR

Ruling out another lock down in view of Corona and Omicron prevalence, the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said as per Central government directions, there is no plan for lockdown as of now.

Reviewing the readiness of the Health Department, the chief minister asked the officials to fully gear up to meet any exigency. He wanted them to make available a required number of beds, oxygen beds, medicines, and test kits.

Mr KCR asking the officials to beware told them to make arrangements to set up Basthi Dhawakhanas (Community Health Centres) in all towns across Telangana state.

A review will be held on the corona scare again on January 12 and fresh decisions will be taken depending on the day, he said.

Referring to the stalemate in assets distribution between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states after bifurcation, he faulted the Andhra leaders for the delay in solving the pending issues. “The Andhra leaders are raising unnecessary issues such as a share in Singareni collieries that cannot be allowed,” he said instructing the chief secretary Mr Somesh Kumar not to compromise on any issue that is against the interests of Telangana state.
